HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) — Teachers and school service personnel are leaving the picket lines and heading back to the classroom.

“I’m excited to get them back into school and get their routine going back and him learning and everything like that,” said Ashley Tackett, a Wayne County parent.

Wayne County third-grader Kayden Maynard said he missed being out of school for so long.

“It will really be fun to see my friends again. I like to play with my friends and learn,” he said. “It was sad, and I didn’t get to play with my friends as much.”
