LOGAN — At an impromptu town hall meeting Tuesday with Logan County educators, Gov. Jim Justice mentioned the possibility of placing a moratorium on changes to public employees’ health care benefits for this legislative session.
That, Justice said, would provide legislators and the administration with more time to evaluate problems in the Public Employees Insurance Agency and to find a long-term solution when more revenue is available.
“We’re not going to fix it today,” Justice said. “Just give me a little time.”
There were no specifics given on where a steady stream of revenue would come from in the future, but Justice said governmental leaders are looking at all potential options.
